Elizabeth Kim - Founding editor
Elizabeth is a Scotland-based writer from the rural West Country. Her work has appeared in publications such as The Millions, BBC Culture, Electric Literature, the LA Review of Books, The Guardian, The Independent, Oh Comely, Dazed, Huck, and TANK. She is a columnist for Mslexia and has had her short fiction published in/on Litro, Rituals & Declarations, The Aleph Press and Leith Books, among others; her first novel was shortlisted for Penguin’s #WriteNow 2020. She holds an MA in French and Italian from the University of Edinburgh. She is working on a novel and a non-fiction book, and edited Spiritus Mundi (2022). She is represented by Richard Pike at C&W.

Influenced by the magic, folklore, and the occult, Kaitlynn Copithorne is an illustrator and visual artist based in Mohkinstsis/Calgary, Canada. She works primarily in digital and traditional printmaking and has produced work for magazines, music festivals, books, and public art collections.

Michael vince kim - photo editor
Michael Vince Kim, recipient of a 2017 first prize World Press Photo award, Magnum 30 under 30 and Joop Swart Masterclass participant, is known for his work documenting ethnic Korean displacement in Mexico, Cuba and Central Asia. His photographs have been published in National Geographic, NYT Magazine, Le Monde, and the Guardian, among others. His photographs have also been exhibited internationally and solo and group shows. Michael is also a director of photography in film.

Beth Ward is an Atlanta-based writer, editor, and digital storyteller. She writes primarily about books, art, magic, and the American South. In addition to Cunning Folk, her work has appeared in numerous publications, including The Rumpus, Hyperallergic, Pigeon Pages Literary Journal, NPR, BUST, The Bitter Southerner, Atlas Obscura, feminist horror magazine, Suspira, and elsewhere. Beth is currently a graduate student at the University of Georgia, where she is completing her master's of fine arts degree in narrative nonfiction, and is at work on a memoir about memories, mothers, and magic in the South. Elizabeth is a writer, artist and folklorist based in Edinburgh, Scotland. Her work explores fairy tales, horror and interactive storytelling, and she is a Lecturer in Creative Writing at Edinburgh Napier University. Alongside her work for Cunning Folk, she is a regular contributor to the Times Literary Supplement and Hellebore, and has written for publications including the Guardian, the i and The White Review. She is also the editor of the British Library's Tales of the Weird anthologies Into the London Fog and Fearsome Fairies, and stages immersive theatre installations based on folktales in spaces ranging from museums to pie shops. Bw Bach is an Environmental Anthropologist, whose research deals with how culture shapes our connection with the natural world. Having recently completed a PhD at the University of Cambridge, Bw’s monograph – Common Sense in Land Management – was published by Routledge. Bw has written on folklore, magic, and the landscape for numerous publications; including the Kings Review, Environmental Humanities, and Anthropology Today. A recipient of Henry Sumner Maine Scholarship, Bw was also awarded the Mount Haemus Prize for his work on contemporary Druidic spirituality.
